Pancake Sibling o noes

Yeaaaah, turns out that Sibling really was pushing it a bit much yesterday, so today turned into a pancake day. Sad! But also I'm not real surprised, given everything. So sealing will probably be done next week instead, which is fine. Health is much more important! (Even though I would like to get back to my room, hahaha.)

Today I did some stuff, but not a huge amount either. ( Blah blah blah mostly food related )

I also set up the deck for painting! (Mostly, gotta cover over one more bit, which I will do tomorrow.) So I'm planning on getting a start on that tomorrow, if not a whole first coat. (Probably not though there's too many pieces and only so much space.)

Stained!

Floor is stained! :D I haven't had a good look at it yet, of course, because it was WET, but from the glimpse I got it looks really good! :D :D :D (Did not get back in my room due to said wet, hahaha)

Sibling should be back tomorrow to start on the top coats - assuming the sick doesn't make a resurgence, it was DEFINITELY still there - but! The nail got pulled today as well, so I'll be finishing off the sanding tomorrow, and maybe start on painting. (Will have to tidy the deck further to put down dropcloths, etc., which might take a while. Will have to see!)

Would've started on that today, but I got hit by the Anvil of Tired, whoops. >>;;; Probably because even after I went to bed last night it took me a while to actually sleep, siiiigh. So! Going somewhat earlier tonight, even if not by as much as I was aiming for, so that'll hopefully help some.

Quiet Day

Nothing big, today. Cleaned the chook coop, and the cat boxes (which were clean for about 0.2 seconds before Sushi decided he needed to dirty one, sigh). Actually cooked pasta for dinner, which was great! :V Actually did the dishes!

Started working on the shelf in my room, too. Got things down, cleaned up there... and fucked up using the stud finder, so I've gotta erase all the pencil marks I made and start again. Which, fine, whatever. Annoying, but whatever, it happens! I will try again properly... tomorrow? Maybe? Will depend if I can get in there after Sibling's been by. Should be floor stain day, soooo might need to Not Go In There for a while, you know?

Speaking of Sibling, turns out it hasn't been Other Work interfering, but Got A Sick. :( :( :( A terrible thing! And also explains why I didn't get a heads up, hahahaha, time has been spent resting not communicating with people! XD;;; But, should be good for tomorrow (according to a message this afternoon, so probably accurate)!

Have been beset by cats all day, which has been nice :) If sometimes uncomfortable. How a four kilo cat curled up on your legs can make the muscles ache from the weight so easily I will never understand...

COOKING ACHIEVED!!!

I did it! I did all the cooking!!!

Well okay not ALL the cooking, I didn't make mashed potatoes OR pasta, but I did a lot of cooking!

The microwave pancake recipe worked surprisingly well, so I had pasta sauce on that for dinner instead of making pasta to put it on. It was delicious. :3 :3 :3 Definitely gonna be making the pancake again, too! (You... really only need one at a time, they're pretty big. And they have an entire egg in them, so you even get some protein! :D)

Also cleaned the kitchen a bunch since I was out there - I made very sure to NOT leave things alone. Actually didn't get as much cleaning done as I thought I would, I thought I'd do a load of dishes too, but the sauce came together quicker than I expected! Not complaining, nope! :3

Other than that, nothing huge. New pokemon event is live, and I managed to get six shinies! :D Only need two more, which is nice. Managed to beat the raid with the same pokemon as the last one (yay both having weakness to fire!), so I didn't need to do any training up or anything for that either. (It was actually easier than the first one, weirdly enough! I guess it has less natural DEF or SDEF...)

Oh look. Another day of nothing. :|

I did EVENTUALLY get myself into the shower - at like 8pm - but yeah, today was. Another not great day! :/ So no cooking. Tomorrow! >:

I DID remember to take the bins out, and to fill up the rubbish with random bits of foam my father's been keeping for no good reason, some of the carpet underlay, etc. We're still going to probably need to take stuff to the tip, but if I get as much out as I can each fortnight that'll help.

No Sibling today, so I finally messaged, and the current plan is Thursday. Which is fine, I'm glad I know now! Should stop me from worrying about it, heh.

Other than that, really not much. Brain has been extremely useless siiiiigh.

Food acquired! :3

Didn't manage to get the brain together to actually cook it today, but I have all the ingredients I needed for pasta sauce now! :D Tomorrow will be a cooking day, yes. Would also like to boil some eggs, and someone on Azy's discord has an interesting recipe for microwave pancakes I'mma try. Not sure if they'll be good, but worth trying out! Both of those things can easily be done while waiting for various stages of the pasta sauce to be done, so yeah. Cooking day!

Maybe I'll also make mashed potatoes, simply because I have some potatoes and mashed potato is delicious. Will depend on how much brain I have, I expect!

If the weather's nice I should do washing again, too, so I guess tomorrow will be more or less a domestic tasks day. That's not bad! Dunno if Sibling is coming over, though, so that might change things. But it might not!

Also FINALLY did the binding off for the switch case - I had been avoiding it for weird brain reasons, stupid brain - and also did a repair on an adorable umbreon plushie A found for me! One of the seams on its ear had burst, so while the angle was kinda annoying (and now the ear points back a little, which I don't actually think is a bad thing), it wasn't a huge job. And now I have a tinycute umbreon! :D :D :D May need to find room for another display case or something, though, not sure where I'mma put all these toys...

Sanding: Mostly Done!

Did most of the sanding today! Just got a couple of bits on the longest board that I can't do with the electric sander - it's too long to move it out of the clamps without it hitting something on one end or the other, so I'll have to take it out entirely and hand-sand those bits that're covered. But that plus the one I need Sibling to help get the nail out of from yesterday is all that's left! :D (Tried the nail again, too. No dice. Bleh.)

Almost out of food again, so I'mma have to shower tomorrow morning and go do that, bleeeeeh. Like. I realise that it's by design that I only get as much as I can carry so I have to force my ass out of the house at least long enough to get food, but also why do I have to go outsiiiiiide, ugh. Curse you, long-term thinking looking-after-self brain!!!!

I think I will get the things for pasta sauce. Pasta sounds good about now. :V

But nothing is open for at LEAST two hours (I think) and also I do need to shower and stuff first sooooo nap now! It's too cold for showering anyway! Also I need to sleep, etc. etc.

Sanding!

No Sibling today either, so not sure what's up with that. Assume Other Work Stuff is busy, which is fine, whatever. Kinda annoying to not get a heads up, but also I don't care THAT much hahaha.

I DID however, do some sanding today! Not a huge amount, but enough to know that a) yes it WAS important to clear off the bench, and b) yep I CAN get the long ones done this way, which is nice. First of the long ones needs a second go-over - gotta move stuff around so the bits in the clamps are free so they can get sanded! But the first pass is done, yay! And mostly done with the small ones - just left with one with a nail in the corner I can't get out, so gonna see if Sibling can. Suspect some of the problem is I don't have enough grip strength - the sticky out bit CAN be grabbed with the pliers, I just can't seem to get it to move. Sibling's always been way better at that kind of thing, so I'm hopeful!

Other than that, not a huge amount. Hid in bed most of the day I wasn't actively doing something, because it was FUCKING COLD this morning. Ankle was twinging as soon as I got up, sorta thing. But hiding in bed meant it didn't start aching! \o/ Sushi also came and curled up under the blankets on my stomach like three times, too, which was ADORABLE.

Fucking cactus spines!!!

So this morning I cleared off the workbench, finally. AND GOT CACTUS SPINES STUCK IN MY HAND. WHY. There was no cactus on the workbench, so the spines were just. There. Lurking. Invisibly. :| :| :| :| :|

But I also cleaned the chook coop AND did washing before that, so I had a pretty busy morning! ...which of course meant I slept all afternoon but. You know. Progress! Stuff got done!

...I was gonna say something but my brain has gone blank. Hmm. Well if it's important I'll remember later, I guess! For now, time for a nap!

I did... some stuff!!!

Managed to sleep most of the daylight hours away yet again, and there's something up with my ear so I had a nap this evening TOO, but at least it's not hurting any more.

Anyway even though I was too late to go clean the chook coop as planned - they were already in bed, heh - I DID do that last bit of paint stripping, so that's something. Hopefully tomorrow will be all the rest of the sanding, but we'll see how long it takes to clear off the bench, I guess.

Back to bed for me! Hopefully I'll be over whatever it is tomorrow!

Okay fall over now

Soooo it turns out I'm not actually done with the stripping, there's a piece we repaired and set aside for the glue to fully dry that I then forgot about orz orz orz. Soooo gotta do that. Was hoping to clear off the workbench today but Sibling asked me to mop the floor this afternoon and then I just kind of pancaked until it was dark out, whoops.

We DID go and pick out a stain colour before that, though, so at least that's done! (Sibling is researching if it can be found in a larger size somewhere, though, because we apparently need ~4L and the largest tin they had was 1L. And it was. Expensive. So even a minor bulk discount would be very appreciated.)

Anyway I got distracted reading fic which is mostly why I'm up so late (also there is a cat in my lap), but I'm gonna be stronk and also very gently move said cat and go! The fuck! To bed!!! Yes.

Monday

As usual, not a whole lot today.

Sibling did come over, and the inside skirting boards should be finished, yay! Will see what they look like in the morning, but the second coat looked pretty good, so the third should be enough. :3

I think I'mma try and do all the sanding for the other boards tomorrow. I've been putting it off because I'll need to clear off the workbench for the longer ones, and I really. Really. Do not want to. It's a fucking mess and a half, because... my father. Bleh. Temptation to put it all in a box and leave it for him to figure out is extremely high, except he'll just... never look in the box, and buy new stuff because he can't find things he already has. As usual. Siiiiigh.

Anyway I DID manage to go to the supermarket and get milk and cereal (and snacks), so I'm pretty happy about that. :3 Of course, didn't get my ass into gear until it was practically dark, but I DID have a shower beforehand, so that's better than I have been.

Other than that pmuch just minecraft and reading! But now AO3 is down sooooo that's a kick in the ass to go to bed already, hahaha, so I'mma do that. Yes. >>;

Sunday? Sunday.

Not a whole lot today, either, bleh. Lots of napping! Also it was raining so I didn't go out haha.

I DID clean the hallways like I meant to, so that's something. Hopefully it's good enough, but I'll check it again in the morning, I probably missed stuff, that seems to be how cleaning goes, just in general.

Also! I made a cheese and tomato toastie for lunch and it was DELICIOUS, will definitely make more until I'm out of bread! :9 :9 :9

Welp

Soooo I slept all fucking day again. Of course I did, I did things yesterday. Ugh, annoying.

But I DID make the chicken schnitzel, and it was only a little burned*, so that was good! Good going me, actually cooking! It may have been the only meal I had today, but goddamnit I made it! >:

Also got the last two shinies I needed for the current mass outbreak event wheee~~ :D

Bed now though. Tomorrow... gotta eat more. And also clean the hallway. Yes. If I have time/brain shopping again too, I want cereal. And on a related note, almost out of milk...

I am extremely bad at paying the correct amount of attention to schnitzels, specifically. Why, I got no idea, but I can fry most things no problem so it's weird as hell.
